About the event

This will be the second panel discussion in our series with a new group of panelists and moderators--JOIN US!

An increasing number of women and men are moving forward after spending significant time identifying as “transgender.” Name and pronoun changes, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries have had a profound effect on their lives. While the label of “detransitioner” is commonly used to describe them, the term is a misnomer: there is no way to reverse time or the impacts of these psychologically, socially, and physically life-changing experiences. They are moving forward with their lives, and after sharing their personal stories in other places and platforms, it’s time to hear more from Ritchie, Maia, Daisy, Richard, Camille, Chloe, Nick, and Michelle, and more panelists to be announced soon. Pamela Garfield-Jaeger, LCSW, author of A Practical Response to Gender Distress will be one of our moderators for the evening.

After the success of our first panel discussion in Wisconsin, we will be in the Chicagoland area on June 5 as Partners for Ethical Care will host “The Next Chapter: Moving Forward with Insights and Inspiration,” a moderated panel discussion centering the voices of detransitioners. Through the unique experience of detransition, these men and women  have grown in ways that they never intended or imagined. We hope that you’ll be there with us to listen, ask questions, and support their healing and growth.

We invite you to hear their insights and be inspired by their voices!
